🚩🚩 1. Kyaukse District Battalion 2 Rejoins MOD Command and Apologizes to Authorities

The Kyaukse District Battalion 2 in Mandalay Region, which had previously submitted a request to withdraw from the command of the Ministry of Defense (MOD) under the National Unity Government (NUG), has announced on July 2 that it will rejoin and operate under MOD command.
Although the battalion submitted its withdrawal request on April 21 this year, the statement now clarifies that the action was based on a misunderstanding.
The battalion admitted that the request stemmed from a misunderstanding and that they now fully comprehend the situation.
Kyaukse District Battalion 2 also extended an apology to responsible authorities for their prior statements and actions made in error.
As such, the battalion has pledged to continue operating under the rules, protocols, orders, directives, and regulations issued by the MOD Central Command, and to fight under its leadership until the fall of the military dictatorship.

🚩🚩 2. Three Consecutive Days of Ambushes on Junta Convoy Along Salin–Sinphyukyun Road Leave 7 Soldiers Dead

The junta military convoy traveling along the Salin–Sinphyukyun road in Magway Region was ambushed for three consecutive days with landmines and attacks, resulting in 7 junta soldiers killed and many others injured, according to the People’s Defense Force (PDF) – PaKaPha Salin.
On the morning of June 28, a military column of approximately 200 troops, accompanied by 2 trucks, 2 armored vehicles, and 3 support vehicles, moved from Salin Township toward Sinphyukyun Township. They were ambushed with mines and gunfire, leading to the reported deaths of 7 soldiers.
Later that day, at around 2 p.m., heavy fighting broke out near Tharsi village for about three hours due to reinforcements arriving in 2 additional trucks. By evening, the junta troops retreated toward Myauk Magyi Kone village, where they looted and disturbed civilian homes.
On the morning of June 29, the convoy advanced toward Sinphyukyun and was ambushed again with landmines around 8 a.m., between Moe Wun and Tharyetkyin villages, causing further casualties.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. in Pan Htein Kone village, another clash occurred. Junta troops burned down houses in the village and retreated again toward Tharsi village, where ammunition and supplies were seized by local forces.
On June 30, heavy weapon exchanges occurred between the junta and resistance forces in Tharsi village, and by July 1, the junta convoy had retreated from Salin Township.
The Salin PDF confirmed that three resistance fighters were seriously wounded during these engagements.

🚩🚩 3. Terrorist Junta Burns Down Around 200 Civilian Homes in 11 Villages in Minhla Township

In western Bago Region’s Tharyarwaddy District, the junta’s advancing military columns burned down over 200 civilian houses in 11 villages within Minhla Township over a span of five days, according to the Minhla Township People’s Defense Team.
Documented records show:
- June 20: 25 houses in Taungpyat Ywarthit village
- June 22: 5 houses in Yway Kone village and 4 in U Toe Kywelan Su village
- June 23: 20 houses in Bohtataung, 8 in Sar Chaung, 8 in Sin Aing Chaung Pauk, 5 in Kangawpin, and around 50 in Ngalat Sann
- June 24: 5 houses in Sambot
- June 25: 15 in Khwet Ma and around 40 in Kwelmakine
The Defense Team noted that these figures are conservative and actual damage may be higher on the ground.
On the morning of July 2, the junta also burned Zaritmyoung village in Khwet Ma village tract and set fire to Shwe Pauk Pin village at 11:20 a.m. Additionally, reports suggest five women from Zaritmyoung were abducted for forced labor as porters.
Both villages were previously burned down by the junta on April 30, leaving them completely destroyed.
Among those abducted in Zaritmyoung were Ma Thinzar Oo, Ma Par Par, Ma A Thei, and Ma Mi Cho. They are reportedly being held at Zaritmyoung Monastery as human shields.
In Takalay village, junta troops stationed at Daw Win Thei's rice mill have been indiscriminately shelling civilian areas.
On June 20, Brigadier General Win Thu Lin, Commander of Military Division 66, arrived at Kha Lan Ya-1 Base in Seinkan village, ordering troops to torch villages east of the Yangon-Pyay highway, resulting in the looting of valuable property from civilian homes.

🚩🚩 4. Attack on Junta Troops Stationed at Yantone Monastery in Thayetchaung Leaves 5 Soldiers Dead

In Yantone village, Thayetchaung Township, Dawei District, Tanintharyi Region, junta troops stationed inside the village monastery and local homes were attacked, leaving 5 soldiers dead and 3 injured, according to the Dawei Youth Guerrilla Force, which released the statement on July 3.
The attack was launched by combined resistance forces around 11:00 a.m. on June 30, and heavy gunfire exchanges lasted from 12 noon until around 5:00 p.m..
By around 6:00 p.m., the junta evacuated the injured and dead soldiers via vehicles toward Thayetchaung town, and remaining troops at Yantone village reportedly withdrew toward the Shwegu Hill Gate base.
The joint operation involved:
- Daung Nyi Naung Guerrilla Column
- Daung Nyi Naung Drone Unit
- KNLA Battalion 12, Company 1
It was confirmed that no casualties occurred among the resistance forces.
