๐ฉ๐ฉ 3. CDF-KKG Reports Participation in Over 400 Clashes During Four Years of Resistance; 73 Fighters Killed
July 2 | Radio NUG
The Chinland Defense Force – Kalay Kabaw Gangaw (CDF-KKG), based in Chin State, announced on July 1 that it has engaged in over 400 battles against the military junta over the past four years of the resistance movement. The group stated that 73 of its fighters were killed in action, and over 150 others were either wounded or left with permanent disabilities.
Since the beginning of the revolution in 2021, CDF-KKG has launched attacks against junta forces not only in the Kalay-Kabaw-Gangaw region but also in other areas. It highlighted that a Major Operation prepared in 2024 was successfully executed in early 2025 in coordination with allied forces. During that operation, five junta military camps between Kalay and Gangaw were seized.
The statement honors the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the elimination of the military dictatorship, the protection of the people, and the establishment of a federal democratic union. It affirmed the group’s ongoing commitment to fight not only for the liberation of the Kalay-Kabaw-Gangaw region but for the eventual liberation of the entire country from military rule.

๐ฉ๐ฉ 4. Individuals Allegedly Captured by Junta in Thanlyin Township Had Defrauded Resistance Funds and Surrendered to the Military
July 2 | Radio NUG
According to People’s Spring Media, the individuals who were reportedly captured by the military council this morning in Thanlyin Township, Yangon Region, were in fact former members of the resistance who had embezzled revolutionary funds and later surrendered to the military junta.
On the night of July 1, military propagandist social media accounts began spreading claims that during the transfer of a female political detainee from Hlaing Tharyar Township police station to a hospital, an armed group attacked the police escort and rescued the woman.
Subsequently, on July 2, junta-aligned Telegram channels released photos claiming that the rescue team had been re-captured near Aung Thapyay Kan Village in Thanlyin Township.
Later in the evening of July 2, these channels also circulated CCTV footage alleging that the rescue group had opened fire on the police.
However, according to resistance members, those captured include Chit Zin Lin (aka Andrew) and Yangon (aka Phone Myint Aung), who had previously established a group in Kayin State under the name “National Special Force.” In July 2023, they reportedly absconded with nearly 1 million baht worth of donated funds and weapons belonging to their unit and subsequently defected to the junta.
The rescued woman, said to be the wife of Chit Zin Lin, had been impersonating a supporter in order to continue deceiving resistance groups and was eventually arrested—thus, there is no cause for sympathy, resistance members added.
