🚩🚩 1. Karenni Joint Resistance Forces Announce Capture of LIB-134 and Downing of a Chinese-Made FTC-2000G Jet

Karenni Joint Resistance Forces have announced that they successfully seized Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 134, based in Hpasawng, on June 30, 2025, following an offensive that began on June 25 targeting both LIB-134 and LIB-135, units of the illegal military junta stationed in the area.
From the start of the offensive until now, the junta has launched heavy counterattacks using various jet fighters and military aircraft, including Y-12, Y-8, FTC-2000G, and other military transport planes, in an attempt to defend the two battalions.
On July 2, 2025, around 1:00 a.m., four junta jet fighters flew in to bomb targets in Hpasawng. Karenni Joint Resistance Forces responded with anti-aircraft fire and successfully shot down one FTC-2000G fighter jet—manufactured in China.
The downed jet was later located near Hpasawng on July 3, 2025, at around 2:00 p.m., by Karenni forces, who recovered parts of the aircraft’s wreckage along with body fragments of the two pilots.
Karenni Joint Resistance Forces reaffirmed that they will continue to counter and resist the junta’s airstrikes and offensives—carried out with advanced weaponry—by all means necessary.

🚩🚩 2. Ambush on Column from LIB-416 in Chaung-U Township: 3 Killed, Around 15 Wounded Including an Officer

On July 2, a military column of approximately 80 junta troops from LIB-416, under the Southern Command, was ambushed at a location between Myepadone and Taungtha villages in Chaung-U Township by a coalition of resistance forces. The engagement began around 11:15 a.m. and lasted roughly 90 minutes, according to a statement from the Myaing People’s Defence Force (PaKaPha).
During the clash, three junta soldiers were confirmed dead, and around 15 others—including one officer—were severely wounded. Although the military attempted to support the column with three rounds of airstrikes, it was ultimately forced to retreat without further advancement.
The ambush was carried out by a joint force consisting of Myaing PaKaPha, Pauk PaKaPha, Chaung-U Township Revolution Force (CRA), Magway District Battalion 1, Chaung-U PaKaPha, and local allied units.

🚩🚩 3. 7-Day Ambush Operation in Ngazun Township Results in 28 Junta Deaths

According to the Special Task Force - Ngazun, a military column of around 200 troops from the junta—using 7 vehicles—departed from Tantabin Township toward Ngazun Township. After stopping between the Gway Kone checkpoint and the industrial zone, the column continued on foot. Resistance forces initiated a landmine ambush and conducted a 7-day long concealed encirclement, culminating in a full-scale assault that killed 28 junta soldiers.
The junta convoy included:
- One 12-wheeled truck,
- Three pickup trucks,
- One light transport vehicle, and
- Two Matador armored trucks.
The ambush took place near a landmine field that resistance forces had prepared in advance. On July 1 at around 5:40 a.m., the junta column entered the kill zone. Coordinated attacks were launched from three separate positions, resulting in the deaths of 28 soldiers, including one major and two captains.
Following heavy casualties, the junta forces reportedly took local civilians hostage from nearby villages and moved through forested areas toward the Myotha industrial zone.
The operation was carried out jointly by:
- Myingyan District Battalion 6 (Unit 3),
- Myingyan District Battalion 6 (Unit 2), and
- TGYR Youth Guerrilla Counter Revolution - Ngazun.
One resistance fighter sustained injuries from a bullet wound to the upper thigh (approx. 60 mm entry point) during the operation.

🚩🚩 4. Five Junta Soldiers Killed in Attack While Repairing Power Lines in Taungtha Township

According to a statement from Myingyan District Battalion No. (3), on July 1, junta soldiers stationed at a steel factory in Taungtha Township were attacked while attempting to repair an electric power line leading to the factory.
Having received intelligence in advance, resistance forces laid in ambush and launched the attack at approximately 4:40 a.m..
During the clash, two junta soldiers were killed on the spot, with their weapons seized while their bodies were abandoned as the remaining troops fled.
Later, it was confirmed that three more junta soldiers died from injuries at Taungtha Hospital, and approximately 20 others were wounded.
The two soldiers killed during the clash were cremated on July 2. Seized materials from the battle include:
- Twenty 5.56 mm bullets
- Forty-six G3 rounds
- Five hand grenades
- Two 60mm shells
- Three G3 magazines
- Three MA magazines
- One mobile phone

🚩🚩 5. One Junta Soldier Captured During Clearance Operation in Aunglan Township Shot Dead While Attempting to Escape

According to the Central Regional Military Command, during an operation on June 27 to intercept a junta military column and clear areas within Aunglan Township, one junta soldier was captured.
Weapons and ammunition seized from the captured soldier include:
- One MA-1 rifle
- Three magazines
- Two hundred and ten 5.56 mm rounds
- One 60 mm mortar shell
Although the soldier was reportedly well-treated while in custody, he attempted to escape during interrogation and was subsequently shot and killed.
The operation was conducted jointly by:
- Battalion No. (902)
- Thayet District Battalion (1)
- Aunglan Township People’s Defense Force (PaKaPha)

🚩🚩 6. One Child and One Elderly Man Killed, 17 Injured in Airstrike and Shelling on Wa Ywar Thit Village, Madaya Township

On July 3, 2025, at around 3:00 p.m., the junta carried out an unprovoked airstrike on Wa Ywar Thit village in Madaya Township, despite no active fighting taking place in the area.
According to the People’s Defense Force (Mandalay), the attack resulted in the death of one child and injuries to seven people, including an infant.
Following the airstrike, junta forces also fired artillery shells at the village from Madaya town, causing the death of a 75-year-old man and injuring around 10 others.
It is reported that due to the junta’s frequent and indiscriminate attacks on civilians, the majority of residents in Madaya Township have been forced to flee to safer areas in search of refuge.

🚩🚩 7. Graduation Ceremony Held for Aung Zeya Weekly Military Training Course under Special Region Military Strategy No. (32)

According to a statement released by the Black Panther Column, a graduation ceremony was held for the Aung Zeya Weekly Military Training Course under Special Region Military Strategy No. (32), a program composed of troops who have defected from the military junta and are now led by the Black Panther Column.
The ceremony was reportedly attended by Saw Taw Nee, a central executive member of the Karen National Union (KNU), U Kyaw Thet Linn, and officials from Military Strategy No. (32), who commended the graduates.
These new resistance fighters, many of whom are former junta soldiers who defected, pledged to counter the junta’s Aung Zeya military operations and actively participate in people's war operations to bring about victories for the revolution.

🚩🚩 8. Graduation Ceremony for 5th Weekly Basic Military Training and Refresher Course Held by Myingyan District Battalions No. (4) and (10)

The Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG) under Military Region No. (1) announced that the 5th weekly basic military training course and refresher training graduation ceremony of Myingyan District Battalions No. (4) and No. (10) was held on July 1, 2025.
During the three-month training period, the new recruits were provided with instruction in basic military knowledge and offensive tactics.
The refresher training included one month of instruction in command structure, operational leadership, and offensive military strategy. Upon graduation, the trainees were equipped with firearms, bulletproof vests, and ballistic helmets.
Both the refresher course graduates and the 5th weekly basic course trainees are currently assigned to serve in Myingyan District Battalions No. (4) and No. (10).

The People’s Defense Force (PDF), Thayet District Command, announced that the graduation ceremony for the 10th weekly basic military training course of Thayet District Battalion No. (4) was held on June 29.
The ceremony included:
- A parade by the graduating unit into the ceremonial ground
- A salute to the flag
- A pledge of allegiance
- Address speeches
- Reading of solidarity messages from allied groups
- Presentation of awards to outstanding trainees
Following the formal proceedings, the ceremony concluded with traditional dance and entertainment performances by female military personnel from the battalion.
