📌📌 1. Spring Revolution Political Dialogue Held in Buffalo, New York, USA

On July 5, a Spring Revolution Political Dialogue was held in Buffalo, New York, United States, organized by the International Coordination Network (ICN), according to reports.

Key figures invited to the dialogue included:

  • U Aung Kyi Nyunt, Chairperson of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH)
  • Dr. Sasa, Union Minister, Ministry of Federal Affairs
  • U Htin Lin Aung, Union Minister, Ministry of Communications, Information and Technology
  • U Moe Zaw Oo, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
  • Elected Members of Parliament (MPs) of the National League for Democracy (NLD) residing in the U.S.
  • Dr. Rohingya, NUG Representative to India
  • Ko Thwin Lin Aung from the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC)

This marks the third time such a political dialogue has been held during the Spring Revolution. The two-day event, held on July 5 and 6, aims to enhance the international political role of the Myanmar Spring Revolution movement and to coordinate efforts with balance and mutual understanding.

Topics on the agenda include military, political, and diplomatic affairs, as well as a focus on opposing the junta's illegitimate and fraudulent election process and peace negotiations that exclude key stakeholders. These matters are expected to be thoroughly discussed during the conference.

📌📌 2. Union Minister U Aung Myo Min Presents Ministry Progress and Future Plans at CRPH Coordination Meeting

On July 4, 2025, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) convened its regular coordination meeting (25/2025) via video conference. During the meeting, Union Minister for Human Rights, U Aung Myo Min, presented updates on the ministry’s accomplishments and future work plans, according to a CRPH press release.

The session was opened with welcoming remarks by U Myo Naing, a member of the CRPH. Union Minister U Aung Myo Min then provided an overview of the human rights data collected nationwide. He revealed that a total of 19,634 documented human rights violations committed since the 2021 coup have been compiled, many of which are legally robust enough to be submitted to international courts. He also noted that cases have been referred to the Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar (IIMM) for action at the international level. Furthermore, the ministry has also documented 529 violations committed by resistance forces.

The presentation also included:

  • Publicly released Human Rights Data Dashboards to serve as reference tools
  • Updates on field-appointed human rights officers
  • Ongoing training programs:
    • Basic Human Rights Training
    • Documentation of Human Rights Violations
    • Military Ethics
    • Protection of Women and Children
    • Human Rights Educator Training

The minister also briefed the committee on how the ministry is handling public complaints, its international engagement efforts, and outlined its future strategic directions.

In response, committee members raised questions and offered recommendations, which were addressed by the Union Minister.

Subsequently, various sectoral committees presented and discussed their work updates. These included the Labor Affairs Committee, the Education Committee, the Federal Affairs Committee, and the Public Affairs Committee. After the presentations and discussions, the meeting was adjourned.

📌📌 3. Department of Interim Judiciary Meets with Township Judges for Coordination Dialogue

The National Unity Government’s Ministry of Justice, through its Department of Interim Judiciary, held its 6th Coordination Meeting (6/2025) with township-level judges on June 28 at 10:00 AM Myanmar Standard Time, according to official sources.

The meeting was attended by:

  • Director General Daw May Poe, Department of Interim Judiciary
  • Director U Kyaw Soe, Criminal and Judicial Division
  • Chief Daw Shwe Nway Yoe, Office Administration
  • Department staff, as well as judges and communication focal persons from 32 township courts.

The opening speech, delivered on behalf of the Director General by Director U Kyaw Soe of the Criminal and Judicial Division, emphasized several key points:

  • Township judges should report their challenges to the department in a timely manner.
  • Legal proceedings must be conducted with consideration for plaintiffs and defendants, ensuring fair access to justice within the legal framework.
  • The department cautioned that hasty or rushed rulings could result in the loss of legal rights.
  • Judges were urged to continually consult official legal manuals and maintain a habit of ongoing legal education.

During the discussion, township judges raised questions, which were addressed by:

  • Director General Daw May Poe
  • Director U Kyaw Soe
  • Chief Daw Shwe Nway Yoe

Following the Q&A, Director General Daw May Poe affirmed the decisions reached during the meeting and the action plan moving forward.

In her concluding remarks, Daw May Poe highlighted the importance of the rule of law as a cornerstone for a nation’s development. She urged township courts to uphold impartial justice and enhance judicial integrity. She also noted:

  • Judicial processes are politically significant and must be carried out with discipline and proper procedures.
  • Judges must enhance their legal knowledge and capacity to ensure competent and principled rulings.
  • The goal is for judges to become trusted pillars of justice among the public.

She concluded by wishing all township judges health and safety in their service. The meeting successfully adjourned at 12:30 PM MST.

📌📌 4. 76th Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Day Ceremony Held

On July 5, 2025, the Karen National Union (KNU) in Myeik–Dawei District, led by KNLA Brigade 4, held a ceremony commemorating the 76th anniversary of Karen National Liberation Army Day (KNLA Day), according to an official statement from KNU’s Myeik–Dawei District.

The event was held at Met Thamee Khee, the former headquarters of Brigade 4, located in the Kawthoolei administrative area.

Attendees included:

  • Padoh Saw Phaloe Soe Wae, Chairperson of KNU Myeik–Dawei District
  • Brigadier General Saw Lay Thaw, Commander of KNLA Brigade 4
  • Other departmental and military leaders
  • Leaders from Karen youth organizations
  • Young staff from various departments

The ceremony honored the long-standing struggle of the Karen people for national liberation and reaffirmed their commitment to the cause.

📌📌 5. 80 People Arbitrarily Arrested in Yangon Region During June; 12 Released

According to Rangoon Scout Network, a total of 80 individuals were arbitrarily arrested by the military junta across Yangon Region during June 2025.

Of these, 12 individuals have been released, while 13 others were transferred to military training schools or prisons. The remaining 55 detainees’ current status remains unknown.

Breakdown of the arrests:

  • 19 individuals were arrested for conscription
    • 8 lured under false promises of employment
    • 10 forcibly conscripted from their homes
    • 1 abducted off the street
  • Among them, 2 individuals attempted to escape from detention but were recaptured.

Additionally:

  • 7 individuals were arrested for criticizing the junta on social media
  • 5 individuals were detained for participating in the Spring Revolution
  • 3 individuals were arrested for allegedly participating in the birthday protest for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi

Among the detainees:

  • 3 were students under the age of 18
  • 1 person was arrested during a protest demanding better wages for factory workers
  • John Lwin, owner of a modeling agency, was also detained on suspicion of supporting singer Chan Chan, but was later released after interrogation

On June 16, Conscription Training No. 14 began at two sites:

  • Foungyi (Sakat 1) in Hlegu Township
  • Joe Phyu (Tatkha 1) in Taikkyi Township

A total of approximately 340 individuals are reportedly undergoing training at these locations.
