The CRPH’s message affirmed the enduring strength of the people's commitment to democracy through generations of struggle. It called upon the entire population and allied ethnic forces to collaborate towards democracy, national equality, and a new Federal Democratic Union, striving for the people's victory. The NUG's message marked the anniversary of the historic rejection of the Myanmar Socialist Party's one-party dictatorship, recalling the "Our Cause for Democracy" movement. The message highlighted the unified participation of monks, religious leaders, students, intellectuals, workers, farmers, and ethnic peoples who come together to participate in the 8888 Uprising. The NUG further noted the countless lives lost during the 8888 Uprising due to the military dictatorship's brutality. It emphasized the uprising as a crucial moment in Myanmar’s democratic movement, representing a firm step towards achieving the people’s long-held democratic aspirations. Finally, the NUG stated that the current Spring Revolution demands unity among all allied ethnic revolutionary forces to eradicate the military dictatorship and its evolving authoritarian forms through a final, decisive battle. Drawing inspiration from the 8888 Uprising, the NUG urged collective solidarity to achieve liberation and freedom for the entire Union.

2. The Ministry of Health of the National Unity Government urgently calls for an immediate end to all cooperation with or support for the terrorist military junta. Announcement No. (6/2025), released August 6th, details the junta's July 29th aerial bombing of the Charging public hospital in Kantbalu Township, Sagaing Region, at approximately 10:30 p.m. The attack killed five civilians, including a child, an elderly person, and two women, and seriously injured three others, devastating the hospital's facilities. The Ministry reports a surge in deliberate aerial attacks on healthcare facilities in central Myanmar by the junta in 2025, particularly after the March 28th earthquake. The Ministry asserts that the junta, driven by a brutal ideology during its four-year rule, has intentionally targeted healthcare, violating the Geneva Conventions, United Nations Security Council resolutions, international humanitarian law, and human rights law. The Ministry of Health expresses deep sorrow and solidarity with the families of those killed in these attacks.

3. The National League for Democracy (NLD) submitted a position statement to the Stakeholders Engagement Meeting on Myanmar (SEM), held in Kuala Lumpur from August 4-7. While unable to attend in person due to travel constraints, the NLD conveyed its appreciation for the invitation and shared an eight-point statement. The NLD reiterated that political solutions are essential and voiced support for ASEAN's Five-Point Consensus. The party urged ASEAN and other stakeholders to avoid legitimizing or collaborating with the military junta, which it identifies as the source of Myanmar's instability. The statement emphasized the junta's exclusion of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and the NLD, its oppressive laws suppressing freedom of expression, and its planned sham election designed to manipulate the outcome. The NLD stressed that preventing this election would mitigate further complications. Reiterating that genuine resolution requires the participation of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the NLD called for the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners, including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and President U Win Myint. Finally, the NLD expressed deep concern about inadequate healthcare for political prisoners, leading to preventable deaths, and urgently called for measures to prevent further fatalities and to halt the military’s aerial bombings and killings of civilians.

5. Athan Myanmar reports that in 51 of the 63 townships under military junta-declared martial law, phone and internet lines were already cut off prior to the July 31 declaration. These 63 townships, spread across nine states and regions, had martial law imposed by the National Defence and Security Council, led by Junta leader Min Aung Hlaing. Athan Myanmar’s surveys through June, revealed that communication shutdowns preceded martial law in these 51 townships. Athan Myanmar also notes intended communication cuts in areas outside martial law zones. Athan Myanmar states that the Myanmar military follows communication blackouts with ground offensives and aerial bombings, indiscriminately targeting civilians and systematically violating human rights.
