According to KPV News, on August 16, a graduation and academic excellence award ceremony for the 2024–2025 academic year was held at the Basic Education Middle School of Pin Sein Yate IDP Camp, located in the western part of Phekone Township, on the Shan–Karenni border.

According to Daw Paula, the headmistress of the Pin Sein Yate IDP School, the graduation event had been delayed during the 2024–2025 academic year due to displacement from war, forced relocations, the reduction of teaching time by nearly a month, and insufficient funding.
During the event, students performed traditional Kayah dances, and teachers presented awards for outstanding academic achievement to students who excelled in the 2024–2025 school year.
The report stated that during the 2024–2025 academic year, a total of 156 students from kindergarten (KG) to Grade 8 successfully attended the school. For the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year, nearly 300 students from KG to Grade 9 are now enrolled and continuing their education.
