NUG Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung met with Myanmar communities in Norway and provided a detailed explanation on the reforms and political matters being undertaken by the NUG.

According to reports, the meeting between Union Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung of the National Unity Government (NUG) and Myanmar nationals in Norway was held in Oslo on August 16.

During the meeting, Union Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung explained the NUG’s ongoing reform efforts and political issues. Representatives of Myanmar associations in Norway and supporters of the Myanmar cause openly raised their questions, which were addressed in a frank and transparent manner.

NUG Representative to Norway, U Maung Maung Myint, also participated in the discussions. The meeting was organized by the CRPH Support Group, Norway.

Union Minister Dr. Win Myat Aye of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the NUG stated during the “Towards a New Victory – Bago–Tanintharyi” 100 million Kyat campaign livestream that the revolution remains the foremost priority, and therefore greater efforts are being exerted to secure its success.

“All of us have set our sights on the revolution’s victory. Whatever we do, we carry it out with the determination to win the revolution. That is why every task we perform is aligned with the goal of achieving success in the revolution. Personally, I can assure you of this. Since we have made the revolution our priority, it is certain that we are working harder to ensure its victory. Likewise, our revolutionary forces meet, connect, and coordinate, and all of these efforts are directed toward achieving victory,” the Union Minister said.

At present, the majority of NUG cabinet members are based in revolutionary territories, working together with revolutionary forces for the success of the revolution.

Union Minister U Htin Linn Aung of the Ministry of Communications, Information, and Technology of the NUG declared that “a firm decision has been made to remove the military dictatorship by any means necessary” during his address at the Women for Myanmar fundraising event held in Washington, D.C., United States, on August 16.

“Our unwavering decision is to bring down this military dictatorship by any means necessary. We will never waver, and we will continue resisting with determination until victory is achieved. We have witnessed the resilience of our people. Our brave PDF comrades are protecting CDM participants and students from the relentless aerial bombings carried out by the SAC. Everyone is aware of this. We cannot afford to waver. After having endured and resisted this far and gained momentum, we cannot weaken our determination, our perseverance, or our courage. I want to state clearly that we will continue resolutely along the same path as before,” the Union Minister emphasized.

Currently, the terrorist military commission is preparing to hold a sham election and is seeking ways to create a political escape route.

NUG Representative Dr. Htun Aung Shwe attended a public discussion event held in Melbourne, Australia.

The discussion, held on August 15, addressed the covert operations of informants and agents of the Myanmar military dictatorship inside Australia’s sovereign territory. These activities reportedly include secret surveillance, infiltration and division within Myanmar families, intimidation, and threats directed at Myanmar nationals in Australia. The discussions also covered concerns about potential coercion and intimidation targeting Myanmar citizens in relation to the sham election the military junta is preparing to stage.

Clarifications were provided on the legal protections under Australia’s National Security Amendment (Espionage and Foreign Interference) Act 2018 and on how suspected activities of concern could be reported to the relevant law enforcement and oversight bodies.

The event was held at Wyndham Park Community Centre in Melbourne and was attended by Myanmar communities and organizations.

A demonstration in support of Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun’s credential is set to take place at Parliament Square in London.

According to the NUG Representative Office in the UK, “The demonstration in support of Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun’s credential will be held on Saturday, August 20, at 12:00 noon at London’s Parliament Square.”

Political analysts noted that at this critical juncture in the struggle between the military junta and Myanmar’s democratic forces, public demonstrations of support are vital to ensure Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun continues to represent Myanmar at the United Nations.

The NUG Ministry of Human Rights announced in August that a collection of human rights handbooks is now available in one consolidated section on its official website.

According to the announcement:

“Educational handbooks related to human rights are now accessible in one place on the Ministry of Human Rights website. Readers can find human rights training manuals produced and published by various human rights organizations, as well as educational materials on child soldiers, child trafficking, and the rights of children. In addition, the site includes awareness-raising publications in cartoon form and other illustrated human rights resources.”

The handbooks can be downloaded by category, and human rights awareness cartoons, posters, and other materials remain available in their original form as uploaded on the website.

Furthermore, the site also provides case-based documentation of severe human rights violations, as previously reported.

The revolutionary film แ€•ြုံးแ€•ြုံးแ€œေး” (“Still, We Smile”) will be screened in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and advance tickets are already on sale.

According to the “Still, We Smile” official page:

“The film will be screened in Chiang Mai on August 31 at 6:00 p.m.”

Previously, on August 10, the film was screened in Australia, where it raised a net amount of USD 14,640.30.

Still, We Smile is a revolutionary film directed by Ko Pauk, with actor Min Maw Kun starring in the production.
