๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 1. CRPH and NUCC Declare the Military-Led State Administration Council as the Enemy of the Union and the People of Myanmar

September 18

Today, September 18, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) jointly announced that the State Administration Council (SAC) led by military leader Min Aung Hlaing and its National Defence and Security Council (NDSC) are enemies of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and its people.

The military group led by Min Aung Hlaing unlawfully detained the State President, State Adviser, and members of the people’s government on February 1, 2021, and seized state power, an act considered a violation of the nation’s sovereignty.

Accordingly, on March 1, 2021, the CRPH officially designated this military group as a terrorist organization under the Anti-Terrorism Law for its violent actions against the state and its citizens. Furthermore, the National Unity Government (NUG) declared on September 5, 2024, that this military-led group is an “Enemy of the State,” as documented in the latest announcement.

All subordinate organizations under this military group have also been identified as members of a terrorist organization by NUCC and CRPH.

Therefore, any declarations by the military group, including labeling ethnic revolutionary organizations and other resistance forces as terrorist groups, are now considered invalid and void, according to CRPH and NUCC.

Additionally, all actions by the military group’s NDSC and its affiliated organizations are declared unlawful. The NUG, CRPH, and NUCC jointly affirmed that measures will be taken against them in accordance with the Anti-Terrorism Law.

This announcement coincides with the commemoration of the Shwe Wa Revolution Day, which occurred under the former military regime led by U Than Shwe. Today, September 18, marks the 18th anniversary of the Shwe Wa Revolution Day, a significant historical event marked by violent repression.

During this revolution, monks and students across Myanmar joined the protests to improve living conditions for citizens, facing violent crackdowns and arrests by the regime, which also sought to maintain power through widespread intimidation and targeting civilians.

MNOU emphasized that resistance fighters must remain resolute and committed until the end of the struggle, noting that throughout history, the spirit, determination, and resilience of the people have always proven stronger than the military’s weapons.
