The Humanitarian Development Cooperation Office (HDCO) stated that it provided emergency food assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) from nine village tracts in Thandwe Township, Rakhine State.

Between July and August 2025, with the support of the Arakan National Council (ANC), aid was delivered to 2,188 displaced households (7,049 individuals). The support included 1,164 bags of rice.

HDCO noted that efforts are underway to continue providing emergency food aid to IDPs in southern Arakan and other townships where displaced families have not yet received support.
