📌📌 1. Acting President Duwa Lashi La urges the speedy achievement of victory in the revolution


At the second meeting of the Federal-States Cooperation Commission (FSCC) held on September 20, Acting President Duwa Lashi La called for the speedy achievement of victory in the revolution, stating, “I would like to stress that even though our National Unity Government is at the forefront of leading the revolution, we must never overlook the role of the people. Moreover, I would like to urge everyone to be sympathetic to the daily lives of the people (behaving like water to the public and acting like fire towards the enemy military council) and strive to achieve the revolution’s victory swiftly.”


Meanwhile, the Acting President reiterated that all revolutionary forces in the spring revolution should concentrate on the fundamental agreement framework of “Parts (1) and (2) of the Federal Democratic Agreement” and take special care to avoid conflicting with the national goals targeted by the respective states or tribes.

📌📌 2. NUG delegation talks with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State


NUG’s Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung, Communications, Information and Technology U Htin Linn Aung, Deputy Foreign Minister U Moe Zaw Oo, and Deputy Human Rights Minister U Aung Kyaw Moe met and discussed with Assistant Secretary for East Asia and Pacific Affairs Daniel Joseph Kritenbrink during the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York on September 21.


“During our meeting with the officials from the United States in NYC today, they reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to promote accountability for the military regime’s atrocities against the people of Burma. Together we will end the dictatorship in Myanmar for once and for all,” Deputy Minister U Aung Kyaw Moe stated.


Assistant Secretary Kritenbrink also conveyed that he had reaffirmed “the United States’ unwavering commitment to promote accountability for the military regime’s atrocities against the people of Burma” during the meeting.

📌📌 3. Union Minister Naw Susanna Hla Hla Soe attends the graduation ceremony for IDP women’s sewing training


Naw Susanna Hla Hla Soe, Union Minister for the NUG’s Ministry of Women, Youths and Children Affairs, attended the graduation ceremony for IDP women’s sewing training held on September 21, 2023. The training was conducted for three months.


The Union Minister asked for assistance in the ministry’s efforts to give IDP women more similar training while sharing pictures from the graduation ceremony.

The Ministry of Women, Youths and Children Affairs currently working on providing assistance internally displaced persons (IDPs), and providing vocational skill training for youths.

📌📌 4. Military junta troops in Payathonzu (Three Pagodas Pass) no longer dare go outside


Padoh Saw Taw Nee, Karen Nation Union (KNU) Spokesperson and a member of the KNU Executive Committee, told Khit Thit Media that military junta troops in Payathonzu (Three Pagodas Pass), Karen State, no longer dare go outside.


“In Payathonzu Town, there are military council troops. There are also other armed groups, such as PC [KNU/KNLA Peace Council], DKBA [Democratic Karen Buddhist Army], New Mon State Party [NMSP], and BGF [Border Guard Forces]. With all these groups present, the administration of the military council has been completely destroyed. Despite this, the military council troops have not withdrawn completely. While they are no longer stationed in the town centre, they remain near a ward on the outskirts. Nevertheless, the military council troops no longer dare to go outside,” he told Khit Thit.


On January 24th, the revolutionary alliance forces launched an assault and seized control of four government offices under the control of the military junta in Payathonzu Town.

📌📌 5. Magway Region Command of No. 1 Military Region holds graduation ceremony for its first refresher military training


Magway Region Command Office of the No. 1 Military Region under the People’s Defence Force (PDF) of the National Unity Government’s Ministry of Defence held a graduation ceremony for its 1st batch of military refresher training somewhere in a controlled territory on September 19, 2023.


The ceremony was attended by the Magway Region’s People’s Defence Force (PDF) in-charge, district-level in-charges, battalion commanders, and deputy battalion commanders. During the ceremony, the salutation of the PDF flag, the observation of a moment of silence in remembrance of fallen comrades, the delivery of speeches, and the presentation of awards for sector-specific excellence were made by the attendees. After that, the ceremony was concluded with a chorus singing revolutionary songs.


PDF troops under the Magway Region Command participated in the refresher training, during which they were provided with instructions on the Code of Conduct (COC) that they should adhere to, engaged in military drills, and received training in the use of both small and large firearms.
