6. Human Rights Ministry Launches 2024 “10 D Campaign” with Theme: ‘Fostering Human Rights and Justice’
December 2
The Ministry of Human Rights announced its 2024 “10 D Campaign” in December to promote human rights under the theme:
“Fostering Human Rights and Justice.”
December 10 marks International Human Rights Day and is historically significant for Myanmar as a milestone in the fight against dictatorship. On December 10, 1991, student activists protested for human rights and the release of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, leading to violent crackdowns and mass arrests.
The campaign calls for continued advocacy for freedom, justice, and human rights to achieve a united, democratic Myanmar. The Ministry encourages participation in the 10 D Profile Campaign to honor those who have sacrificed for the cause.
