๐๐ 1. Acting President Urges Resistance Forces to Stay Focused, Emphasizing That the Common Enemy is the Military Junta
February 12
"The common enemy is none other than the military junta, so the revolutionary forces should not be overly focused on each other," said Acting President Duwa Lashi La.
He made these remarks during the 78th Anniversary of the Signing of the Panglong Agreement event, jointly organized by the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC), the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), and the National Unity Government (NUG) on February 12.
"In the Spring Revolution, just as the Panglong Agreement sought to unite the plains and the highlands through a political accord, we, too, aspire to establish a strong revolutionary consensus. We are all hoping for the emergence of a grand alliance of resistance forces, bringing together all ethnic groups into a unified military front.
At this moment, it is clear that the common enemy is singular, and that enemy is the military junta. While confronting this common enemy, we must ensure that we do not lose focus by directing our attention toward each other."
Furthermore, the Acting President stated:
"The Spring Revolution is not only a struggle for political liberation but also for ethnic freedom."

๐๐ 2. "We Have Reached a Stage Where We Can Discuss the Establishment of a Federal Democratic Union," Says Prime Minister
February 12
"We have now arrived at a stage where discussions on establishing a Federal Democratic Union are possible," stated Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann.
Speaking at the 78th Anniversary of the Signing of the Panglong Agreement event, organized by NUCC, CRPH, and NUG on February 12, the Prime Minister emphasized:
"The Panglong Agreement was a historic document that first introduced federal principles in Myanmar’s history.
It served as a vital foundation for all ethnic groups, much like a great river that nourishes its people.
Similarly, today, as we continue to resist our greatest common adversary—the brutal military dictatorship—from our respective fronts,
we have reached a stage where we can also discuss how to build a new Federal Democratic Union—one that ensures justice, freedom, equality, and inclusivity."
Additionally, leaders of the revolutionary forces, including those from the NUG, have shifted their terminology from "Union Day" to "Panglong Agreement Signing Day" to reflect the historical significance of the original agreement.

February 12
During the 63rd session of the Commission for Social Development, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun, highlighted the country's dire economic and humanitarian crisis:
"Unemployment is skyrocketing in Myanmar. Three out of four households are facing a significant reduction in income.
Forced conscription by the military is also exacerbating the economic downturn, creating instability for young people and leaving their futures in limbo.
Given the current situation, it is clear that there is no social security at all for the people of Myanmar."
Furthermore, he noted that:
20 million people still require urgent humanitarian aid.
More than 3.5 million people have been forcibly displaced from their homes.
Poverty has reached its highest level in 15 years, with nearly half of the population now living below the poverty line.
