๐๐ 1. NUG Interim President Duwa Lashi La and Ministers Attend Myanmar Hearing at the U.S. House of Representatives

The Interim President of the National Unity Government (NUG), Duwa Lashi La, along with NUG ministers, attended a hearing on Myanmar at the U.S. House of Representatives.
The event was held on February 3 at the office building of U.S. congressmen in Washington, D.C. Duwa Lashi La, Republican Senator Todd Young, and Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen participated in the hearing virtually.
Additionally, NUG Minister of Foreign Affairs Daw Zin Mar Aung, NUG Spokesperson U Kyaw Zaw, and NUG Minister for International Cooperation Dr. Sa Sa were present at the hearing.

๐๐ 2. Military-Run Education Holds No Benefit for Myanmar or Its Youth, Says Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe

Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe stated in an interview in February that military-controlled education does not benefit Myanmar or its youth and will not be recognized.
"Education should be completely free and open. People should have the freedom to study wherever they choose. However, the so-called education provided by the military regime does not meet the standard of what humans deserve. We are not telling anyone not to study, but military-controlled education offers no value to our country or our youth, and we cannot recognize it," the minister said.
Currently, the NUG Ministry of Education is implementing an interim education program, with classes being conducted through both physical and online schools.

๐๐ 3. Fourth Anniversary of the Spring Revolution Commemorated in Front of Myanmar Military Council's Consulate in Los Angeles

On February 2, local time, the Southern California Myanmar community led the commemoration of the fourth anniversary of the Spring Revolution under the theme "Four Years of Resistance Without Losing Momentum" in front of the Myanmar Military Council's consulate in Los Angeles, California.
Participants carried signs, chanted revolutionary slogans, sang revolutionary songs, and recited protest poems. They also observed a moment of silence to honor those who had fallen in Myanmar's fight for democracy.
Ko Thet Htun served as the event host, while U James Shwe delivered a speech. Many pro-revolution Myanmar residents in the U.S. attended the event.

๐๐ 4. Actor Paing Phyo Thu's Academy Campaign Offers Winner a Figurine Embedded with a 1-Kyat Gold Star

Actor Paing Phyo Thu announced that the winner of her "Academy Figurine Campaign" will receive a figurine embedded with a 1-kyat gold star as the grand prize.
"The Academy figurine will be awarded as the first prize from Thuththu’s campaign. The original gold star on this figurine was sold shortly after I received my Academy Award to help support my colleagues in the film industry. This time, the figurine features a gold star contributed by Michael Shin and Ma Htu, a couple from Florida, USA, who have generously donated a 1-kyat gold star to support this campaign," Paing Phyo Thu stated.
The grand prize will be the figurine with the 1-kyat gold star, while additional gold keepsakes will be given as second and third prizes, according to her announcement.
The campaign runs from February 1 to February 20. Participants can donate any desired amount through designated fundraisers based on their respective locations. Each participation will come with a serial-numbered certificate.
The prize drawing will take place on February 21, where Paing Phyo Thu herself will select and announce the winner.
