Interim President Duwa Lashi La stated during the 11th Cabinet Meeting of the National Unity Government (NUG) for 2025 that it is essential to proactively establish the structure of a new transitional government.
“At present, we are witnessing the terrorist military council intensifying preparations and signals regarding a general election. As revolutionary forces, we must not remain idle or reactive with mere political gestures opposing a sham election. We need to take a broader and more assertive political stance. Although the junta is orchestrating an election in name and form, we must go further by taking real initiative and leadership to develop a concrete and legitimate political structure in advance. That is why I believe it is necessary to proactively implement the formation of a transitional government framework,” the Interim President said.
