April 21 | Radio NUG
An agreement has been reached for the Daung Operations Column (3) and the armed resistance forces from Mon, Karen, and Tanintharyi regions to cooperate as military allies, according to an official announcement.

On the morning of April 17, representatives from Daung Operations Column (3) (consisting of Sub-columns 4, 6, and 7), KNU Brigade 6 (Battalion 27), New Mon State Party (Anti-Dictatorship faction), Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF), ABSDF Battalion 1, and the Danu National Liberation Army (DNLA) met for discussions.

The meeting focused on enhancing coordination and operational effectiveness to counter the junta’s advancing military columns in Yephyu Township, and to strengthen joint efforts for military operations.

According to Saw Dar Ko, Operation Commander of Daung Column (Strategy 33), this is not merely a nominal alliance—genuine collaboration on the ground is required. He stated in La Gun Ein publication that if joint operations are fully implemented, it could lead to significant gains, including the capture of junta military bases.

The parties reached shared understandings and committed to continued efforts toward successful military campaigns.

It was reported that the alliance forces jointly launched an attack on April 20 targeting a junta base in Min Thar Village, Yephyu Township.

The battle resulted in over 10 junta soldiers killed, while three members from the allied forces were injured. Fighting remains ongoing and intense.

Following an airspace violation by a junta aircraft during bombing raids on KNLA positions, the Thai military has deployed anti-aircraft artillery to the border, according to reports from Thai outlets Khaosod and Bangkok Post.

On April 21, residents from Phunamron Village, Muang District, Kanchanaburi Province—on the Thai side of the border opposite the Tee Khee area in Tanintharyi Region—observed a junta Y-12 aircraft flying overhead, shortly followed by at least ten explosions.

A junta Mi-17 helicopter was also reportedly spotted in the area, with around 60 junta soldiers deployed near the border.

Earlier, on April 19, resistance forces led by the KNLA successfully seized the junta’s strategic Tee Hta base in the Tanintharyi Region.

During the escalation, the Thai authorities warned against further bombing near the border or allowing cross-border conflict to spill into Thai territory.

Currently, Thailand's 9th Infantry Division is maintaining border security in Kanchanaburi, and anti-aircraft artillery has been relocated for airspace defense.
