๐Ÿšฉ๐Ÿšฉ 5. Yangon-based Battalion (5101) Releases Footage Showing Rescue of Civilians Trapped During Clashes

Yangon Battalion (5101) released a video record on May 7 depicting the rescue of civilians who were trapped amid clashes.

“The last thing we want during battles is to see civilians caught in the conflict. But, unfortunately, that is often the reality, especially as fighting encroaches into urban and village areas,” the battalion stated.

Due to aerial strikes, heavy artillery shelling, and ground offensives, many civilians were trapped inside neighborhoods and villages. Security forces said they carefully extracted these civilians, prioritizing safety.

The battalion also noted that the rescued civilians were transported to designated internally displaced persons (IDP) camps. However, in areas where opposition forces were still in close proximity, the operation posed extreme danger to the rescuing officers as well.
