๐๐ 1. Foreign Minister of the NUG Reflects on the Question of What Is Still Needed for the Revolution to Succeed
June 11
Foreign Minister of the National Unity Government (NUG), Daw Zin Mar Aung, stated on social media that she has been reflecting on what is still needed for the revolution to succeed.
"In recent days, amidst my ongoing responsibilities navigating various dimensions—military, political, and global affairs—I find myself repeatedly pondering one pressing question: What is still lacking for the revolution to succeed? With that question in mind, I constantly engage in self-reflection and, during every brief pause or transition, critically analyze the surrounding circumstances piece by piece. In doing so, the concept of the Four Bases of Spiritual Power (Iddhipada) repeatedly comes to mind," she wrote.
She referred to the Four Bases of Spiritual Power in Buddhism—Chanda (aspiration), Viriya (effort), Citta (intent/mindfulness), and Vimamsa (investigation/wisdom)—and noted that all four must be balanced. She emphasized that extremity or deficiency in any one of them would not be suitable.
In pursuit of the swift success of the Spring Revolution, she stated that members of the National Unity Government are actively engaged in formulating and implementing strategic master plans. Furthermore, over 90% of the government’s income is currently being allocated toward military efforts.
