The National Unity Government (NUG) has expressed its heartfelt congratulations in a message of felicitation sent on June 25, on the occasion of the Fifth Regular Meeting of the Sagaing Federal Unit Parliament, where the government was granted the honour to send its message.

The message states that the NUG is pleased to witness the growing unity and collaborative efforts among political and revolutionary forces within the Sagaing Federal Unit, all striving toward the common objective of building a Federal Democratic Union. It further emphasizes that this solid unity and collective endeavour constitute not only essential strength for the success of the revolution, but will also form the foundational pillars for the future Federal Democratic Union.

According to Section 52, Chapter 8, Part 2 of the Federal Democracy Charter, the NUG commends the Sagaing Federal Unit Parliament for its cooperation with local revolutionary forces in the development of legislative, executive, and judicial mechanisms within the Sagaing Federal Unit. The NUG reaffirms its full support, collaboration, and assistance in these efforts.

Particularly, the NUG expresses deep appreciation for:

  • The Sagaing Federal Unit Parliament's initiative in reviewing and revising the Interim Constitutional Framework (Draft III) based on recommendations from both union-level and regional stakeholders, and successfully publishing it for public awareness;

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 2. Over Six Million People in Myanmar Still in Need of Emergency Assistance Three Months After Devastating Earthquake — United Nations

Nearly three months after the most powerful earthquake struck Myanmar, over six million people remain in urgent need of emergency assistance, according to a report released by UN Myanmar on June 25.

“This natural disaster has significantly worsened existing humanitarian needs that were already critical due to years of ongoing conflict and mass displacement,” the report noted. “UN agencies and their partners in Myanmar responded swiftly, delivering life-saving assistance to the most heavily affected areas.”

However, despite reaching mid-2025, only about 12% of the funding required for Myanmar’s humanitarian response plan has been received. UNOCHA Myanmar issued a warning, stating:

“The earthquakes have further deteriorated an already dire humanitarian situation. Without additional funding, millions of people will struggle to access life-saving assistance.

The report underscores the urgency for increased international support, warning that the humanitarian crisis in Myanmar will deepen unless more resources are mobilized.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 3. DPLF/DPLA Calls on the Public to Support “Mother Daung” 20 Million Kyat Campaign

The Danu People's Liberation Front/Army (DPLF/DPLA) has issued a public call inviting revolutionary supporters to contribute to its “Mother Daung 20 Million Kyat Campaign.”

“We, the Danu People's Liberation Front/Army (DPLF/DPLA), have actively participated in various battles, in close coordination with allied forces, starting from Operation 1027 (Waves I and II), including those in Kyaukgu-Inntaw, Taung Kham, Naung Cho, Kyaukme, and Hsipaw. Even now, in the current battle of Naung Cho—where the SAC has launched a counteroffensive—we remain unwavering in spirit, resolute in determination, and steadfast in unity with our allies, continuing to engage in the fight.

In this ongoing battle at Naung Cho, which the SAC is attempting to reclaim, our comrades urgently need military gear, rations, and medical supplies. Our ability to continue standing firm to this day is thanks to the support and contributions of the public. Therefore, we strongly urge all revolutionary supporters across Myanmar—including civilians, laypersons, and the monastic community—to come together and contribute to this campaign,” said the DPLA fundraising team.

The “Mother Daung Campaign,” which aims to raise 20 million kyat, is scheduled to run from June 25 to August 8. Interested donors are encouraged to contact the campaign team via Page Messenger.
