🚩🚩 1. Mobye PDF 2 Battalion Holds 3rd Anniversary Ceremony and Badges 20 New Recruits

The 3rd anniversary ceremony marking the expansion and establishment of Battalion 1007 of Mobye People’s Defence Force 2 (PDF 2) was held on June 7, according to reports.

The ceremony took place at a liberated area and included a visit to Martyrs’ Hill to pay respects, a flag-raising of the Karenni national flag, the singing of the Karenni national anthem, and a tribute with honorary funds to commemorate and honor fallen soldiers and comrades who lost limbs in battle.

Additionally, the event included the conferral of battalion insignias to 20 newly trained recruits. Senior officers delivered commemorative addresses marking the battalion’s third founding anniversary in a condensed ceremony.

Battalion 1007 was formally established under Battalion 1001 as an expanded unit on June 7, 2022. Within the three-year period, the battalion has engaged in numerous battles and achieved significant victories, it was reported.

During its involvement in the revolutionary struggle against military dictatorship, the battalion lost 23 comrades who sacrificed their lives and 12 others who sustained the loss of limbs.

🚩🚩 2. Ye Belu Forces Launch Attack on Junta Checkpoint in Aayutawng, Ye Township

Ye Belu forces announced that they launched an assault on a junta checkpoint located at the edge of Aayutawng village in northern Ye Township, Mon State, forcing junta troops to flee and abandon the post.

The operation reportedly took place on June 8, targeting a checkpoint situated on the main road in front of a sawmill, a location frequently used by civilians.

According to reports, junta troops fled the site without mounting any resistance.

This is not the first such incident in the area. Previously, junta troops also abandoned positions at the bamboo monastery camp in Aayutawng village, the Pagoda Hill outpost in Kondu village, and the betel nut drying station in Phawtaw village.

🚩🚩 3. Four Civilians Killed and Ten Injured as Junta Airstrikes Hit Three Locations in Thandwe Township

The military junta carried out aerial bombardments on three locations in Thandwe Township, Rakhine State, killing four civilians and injuring ten others, according to Arakan Princess Media.

On the night of June 7, two bombs were dropped at 10:14 p.m. and 10:25 p.m. on a school in Kyaukkyi village that was sheltering internally displaced persons (IDPs).

The attack claimed the lives of Daw Apu (48) from Maungshwelay village and three members of a displaced family from Sindin Gyi village: U Htun Htun Win (42), Daw Hnin Wai Khaing (43), and Ma Apyi Moe (12).

Additionally, eight residents of Kyaukkyi village sustained injuries, six of whom were reported to be in serious condition.

At approximately 10:15 p.m. the same night, a jet fighter dropped two bombs on a school in Pazonphyu village, wounding two civilians.

Furthermore, at 10:38 p.m., four more bombs were dropped on the site of a former junta military recruitment center located between 6th and 7th Streets in Block (8/K) of Thandwe town.

The series of bombings damaged two schools and several civilian homes, according to reports.

🚩🚩 4. Student Killed by Junta Heavy Artillery Strike in Hpruso

A 19-year-old student was killed by a heavy artillery shell fired indiscriminately by junta forces in Hpruso Township, which borders the Karenni State and southern Shan region, according to the People's Security Team of Hpruso Township.

On June 6, junta troops reportedly fired heavy weapons indiscriminately into villages in eastern Hpruso, despite the absence of any active fighting in the area at the time.

One of the artillery shells exploded inside a village, striking a 19-year-old student who was studying inside a house, resulting in his death.

Due to the junta’s continued shelling of villages in Hpruso Township and surveillance by military aircraft, the Hpruso People’s Security Team has issued warnings urging civilians to remain vigilant and take shelter near bomb shelters whenever possible.

🚩🚩 5. Deputy Police Officer Shot Dead While Inspecting Unlicensed Vehicles in Kyaikhto

A deputy police officer was shot and killed near Tanta Byu, close to Myoshaung Road in Kyaikhto Township, Mon State, while inspecting unlicensed vehicles, according to Lagun Ein news outlet.

The shooting occurred around 9 a.m. on June 8, when Deputy Police Officer Win Kyine, assigned to the Kyaikhto Township police station, was conducting roadside inspections of unlicensed vehicles with around 10 officers.

The assailant reportedly approached on a motorcycle, complied with the inspection, and then shot Deputy Officer Win Kyine in the head at point-blank range.

He died on the spot, and the gunman fled the scene successfully.

Just days earlier, on June 5, junta forces—including the military, police, and Pyu Saw Htee militia—were ambushed near a suspension bridge close to Taung Sun Village in Bilin Township while inspecting unlicensed vehicles. That attack left one dead and two others injured.

🚩🚩 6. Fuel Tanker Transporting Jet Fuel for Junta Air Force Seized in Natmauk

A fuel tanker transporting jet fuel for the junta air force in Nawnghkio was intercepted on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, according to the Aung San’s Land Natmauk PDF.

The vehicle was seized in the morning of June 8 near Milepost 262 after it departed from Natmauk Township.

The tanker (vehicle license plate 2B-8525) was apprehended along with two junta soldiers, and further investigations are currently underway.

This vehicle is reportedly one of the tankers frequently used to transport jet fuel for aircraft that have repeatedly bombed and killed civilians.

🚩🚩 7. Papun District People’s Defense Force Opens Recruitment for New Fighters

The People’s Defense Force (PDF) in Papun District has announced an open call for recruits to participate in ground operations aimed at eliminating junta forces.

Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old, physically healthy, mentally strong, and capable of making firm decisions.

Recruits will be required to undergo basic military training, special operations training, and, if necessary, advanced tactical courses. Upon completing the training, they must be prepared to serve in any region as assigned by the force.

Furthermore, all recruits must adhere strictly to the military code of conduct issued by the Ministry of Defense (MOD) and the rules and regulations of the PPDF, with a minimum service commitment of two years.
