📌📌 1. Junta Forces Destroy Myochaung-Sain Kant Lant Road in Minhla Township Using Bulldozers
July 4
According to the local news source Minhla Thadin, the military junta, fearing potential attacks from resistance forces targeting Minhla town and Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 1, has destroyed the Myochaung–Sain Kant Lant main road using bulldozers.
At around 10:00 AM on July 1, near Thike Myaung Hill along the Myochaung–Sain Kant Lant road located within the western part of Minhla Township, western Bago Region, junta forces reportedly used bulldozers and excavators to dig trenches and demolish the road.
It was reported that three armored vehicles and approximately 400 junta soldiers arrived in a convoy and proceeded to destroy the road with heavy machinery near Thike Myaung Hill.
Local residents said the road was destroyed over a width of roughly 10 feet, severely hindering transportation and movement in the area.
The Myochaung–Sain Kant Lant road is approximately 112 kilometers long and connects Kyauk Tan Khar Township in eastern Bago with the western part of the region.
On June 9, junta troops had already used bulldozers and dug trenches—also about 10 feet wide—to damage the road near the 2-Mile Gate along the same Myochaung–Sain Kant Lant route, within Kyauk Tan Khar Township, according to Minhla Thadin.
In addition, at approximately 4:00 PM on July 3, junta forces carried out a drone bombing attack on Tharyaw Kon village, located in Htaut Kone village tract, Minhla Township, resulting in three civilian homes being destroyed and three civilians seriously injured, local sources said.
Since June 19, junta forces have been conducting split military operations in Minhla Township. These attacks have led to the burning of more than 10 villages, with over 200 homes reportedly destroyed by fire.
