๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 1. NUG Ministry of Human Rights provides food and mosquito nets to war-displaced civilians in Sagaing Region

The National Unity Government (NUG)’s Ministry of Human Rights has provided food supplies and mosquito nets to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and local civilians in Sagaing Region, the Ministry announced today, August 2.

During the month of July, the Ministry’s human rights officers carried out humanitarian relief and nutritional support activities for internally displaced persons and local civilians residing in Katha, Chaung-U, and Myaung within Sagaing Region.

The assistance included household goods and food supplies, distributed by household, as well as nutritional meals for civilians displaced by the military junta’s violent offensives. In addition, schoolchildren were provided with nutritional meals sponsored by donors, according to the Ministry.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 2. TNLA police arrested 49 people related to narcotics in July — 15 drug dealers and 34 users

In July, the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) police forces arrested a total of 49 individuals involved in narcotics offenses — including 15 drug dealers and 34 users — across TNLA-controlled townships: Kyaukme, Kutkai, Hsipaw, Mongngawt, Namhsan, Mantong, Namtu, and Mogok, according to the PSLF/TNLA News and Information Department.

In Kyaukme Township, the local TNLA police apprehended two male drug dealers and two male users in possession of 11 soapboxes of crystal heroin, 246 yaba tablets, a mobile phone, and more than 10 million kyats in cash.

In Kutkai Township, three male users were arrested with 3 grams of drugs, 100 yaba tablets, and a mobile phone.

In Hsipaw Township, TNLA police arrested five male and one female drug dealers, along with two male users. Seized items included 42 small packets and 68 loose stimulant tablets and 5 soapboxes of crystal heroin.

A male user returning by motorcycle from Kyaukme to Pan Sari village was arrested at the Manping Bridge checkpoint in Mongngawt Township, where 615 yaba tablets were found in his possession.

In Namhsan Township, four male users were arrested with a bottle of Lipo energy drink containing crystal heroin, five yaba tablets, and three sachets of cough syrup.

In Mantong Township, a male drug dealer was arrested with 2 small packets of stimulant pills, 130 tablets, and over 450,000 kyats in cash.

In Namtu Township, two male users were arrested with 10 yaba tablets.

In Mogok Township, TNLA police arrested six drug dealers and 20 users with 17 small packets of yaba, 379 tablets, six soapboxes of crystal heroin, half a bottle of purified water laced with crystal heroin, a mobile phone, and about 1.1 million kyats in cash.

The arrested individuals were sent to PSLF/TNLA’s moral rehabilitation camps. Major offenders will face legal action under the Anti-Narcotics Law, according to the TNLA’s Information Department.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 3. MNDAA provides financial assistance to families of the deceased and injured in junta airstrike on Kutkai

The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) has provided financial assistance to the families of civilians killed and injured in an airstrike carried out by the junta forces in Kutkai, northern Shan State, according to a statement released by The Kokang.

The junta's airstrike occurred just after midnight on July 30, targeting a civilian residential area rather than a military target. The attack resulted in the deaths of 7 civilians and injuries to 13 others. The MNDAA’s Special Region 1 Kutkai District Administrative Committee provided support to the victims.

According to reports, the committee disbursed 1.6 million kyats to the family of each deceased person and 1 million kyats to each injured person. The committee emphasized that this gesture reflected its deep empathy and support for the affected local population.

The airstrike damaged structures in two neighborhoods of Kutkai, including the Yarsu Thit Hotel and nearby houses. Among the injured was also a Chinese national, according to reports.

The support provided by the Kutkai District Administrative Committee is aimed at helping grieving families overcome their hardships and supporting the medical treatment and recovery of the injured. The MNDAA’s media outlet, The Kokang, stated that further measures will be implemented to ensure civilian safety and protection.

๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ“Œ 4. People welcome Salin PaKaPha fighters with padauk flowers after capture of Tanyawng police outpost

The People’s Defense Force (PaKaPha) troops from Salin were welcomed with padauk flowers by local residents after successfully seizing and burning down the junta-controlled Tanyawng police outpost in Salin Township, Magway Region, according to an announcement made by the unit today, August 2.

The villagers, including elders and youth, warmly greeted the returning PaKaPha fighters with padauk flowers in celebration of their victorious operation, the group reported along with commemorative photos.

On the morning of July 30, Salin Township’s PaKaPha unit launched an attack on the junta’s Tanyawng police outpost. The operation resulted in the deaths of 8 police personnel and the surrender of 2 others. Six firearms and ammunition were seized, and the outpost was burned down and cleared, according to the unit.

The Salin PaKaPha reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their efforts to become a trusted people’s organization and to fight for the public’s cause.
