📌📌 1. Awareness and Support Programs on Air Defense Conducted in Chaung Oo Township

The Ministry of Human Rights of the NUG has announced that during the first week of September, airstrike awareness programs were conducted for local civilians in Chaung Oo Township, Sagaing Region, along with assistance provided to internally displaced persons (IDPs) living in camps.

These programs and support efforts were jointly organized by the Ministry of Human Rights of the National Unity Government (NUG), human rights representatives, the Chaung Oo Township Administration Group, and members of the defense forces.

According to the report, human rights representatives and local defense groups provided systematic training and demonstration drills for the people of Chaung Oo Township on what actions to take in case of airstrikes and heavy artillery attacks launched by the terrorist military group.

Similarly, displaced families in IDP camps in Chaung Oo Township were supplied with essential food items and stationery.

📌📌 2. CDM Health Workers Provide Medical Treatment to Women and Children from Police Families Injured during the Attack on Zee Kone Police Station

According to township health officials, women and children from police families injured during the attack on Zee Kone Police Station in Kantbalu Township on September 17—an operation carried out by Pa Ka Pha (PDF) battalions—are now receiving necessary medical treatment from CDM health teams led by township health officers.

In addition, a pregnant woman requiring delivery care has also been treated and provided with appropriate medical attention.

Although the terrorist junta carried out two consecutive airstrikes on July 29 against the township public hospital—which had been providing medical treatment to the public—completely destroying the facility, CDM health workers have not lost morale or given up. They continue to provide healthcare services to the public as well as to junta soldiers and collaborators, treating them with full humanitarian compassion.

📌📌 3. Repairs Made to Damaged Bridges in Mantong and Kyaukme Towns, and Irrigation Canals Also Cleared

According to a PSLF/TNLA statement, in Mantong town of Ta’ang State, the bridge in Myo Lae Ward, which had been damaged, was repaired beginning in August and completed on September 17 to facilitate smoother transportation for civilians.

The bridge is 26 feet long and 5 feet wide, with total construction costs exceeding 9.5 million kyat.

Similarly, in Kyaukme town, under the leadership of the Township Development Committee, a damaged bridge was repaired, irrigation canals blocked by landslides were cleared, and additional water channels were dug to improve water flow.

Furthermore, within the town, platforms and fire reservoirs at the central market were painted, one-way road signs and directional boards were installed, and cleaning activities were carried out to beautify and green the town.

📌📌 4. Over 6.1 Million WY Methamphetamine Tablets Seized in Hpa-an District Destroyed by Fire

The Karen National Union (KNU) announced that on September 19, in Hpa-an District, more than 6,117,901 WY methamphetamine tablets—worth an estimated 3.059 billion Thai baht—that had been seized were burned and destroyed at the headquarters of Brigade 7 by the KNU Anti-Drug and Anti-Human Trafficking Committee together with the Karen National Police Force (KNPF).

According to reports, these drugs had been confiscated as follows:

  • 120,000 WY tablets seized by KNLA Battalion 101 in T’Nay Cha (Nabu) Township,
  • 5,990,000 WY tablets seized in 2025 in the Muu Yu Hta area by KNLA units under Deputy Commander Saw Khin Lay,
  • 7,901 WY tablets seized in May 2025 in Ta Kaw Lay (Paing Kyone) Township by KNLA Battalion 19.

The drug-burning ceremony was attended by Padoh Naw Dah Dah (Chairman of the KNU Central Disciplinary and Oversight Committee), Padoh Saw Aung Maw Eh (Chairman of the KNU Hpa-an District), Brigadier General Saw Dee Kwel Htoo (Brigade 7 Commander), Deputy Police Chief Saw Maung Kyi of Hpa-an District, Deputy Commander Saw Khin Lay from the KNLA Central Command, battalion commanders and officers from Brigade 7, KNPF officials, Hpa-an District officials, members of the Karen Youth Organization, as well as representatives from Thailand.

The KNU emphasized that this anti-drug operation was carried out in cooperation with Thailand. Thai officials were invited to verify the drugs before their destruction.

The KNU reiterated that it has no involvement in drug trading or trafficking, will continue to take action against drug producers and distributors, and will prosecute those arrested for drug-related crimes while continuing the systematic destruction of seized narcotics.
