A video file featuring Tactical Officer Lt. Col. Kyaw Kyaw Thet, who was captured as a prisoner of war, has gone viral on social media. In the video, he states that the junta’s forces are suffering from inadequate training and low morale, leading to constant defeats in battle.

Lt. Col. Kyaw Kyaw Thet was temporarily assigned as a tactical officer of the No. 992 Tactical Unit under the No. 99 Light Infantry Division Headquarters. He was captured during the Got Sein Yoe battle in early February in Ngaphe Township, located between Magway Region and Rakhine State.

"My experience is that our battalion lacks proper training. The most crucial issue is the lack of willingness to fight. Our fighting spirit is weak, and morale is low. Because of these factors, we are destined to lose every battle we face," said Lt. Col. Kyaw Kyaw Thet.

Furthermore, he analyzed the reasons for the junta forces’ repeated defeats:
"The first major difference compared to the resistance forces is that our troops lack faith in their superiors. The second factor is that they are not confident in their own ability to hold their ground. The third factor is their weak morale," he explained.

He also revealed that at the time of their deployment, his unit originally had over 360 soldiers, but after intense fighting—during which he was injured—only around 70 remained.

On February 11, Pa Ka Pha released a statement announcing these achievements:
"The fact that liberated zones and resistance groups are now actively operating near Dawei shows the increasing pressure on the regime. We have successfully seized 11 military outposts, while junta forces abandoned 9 additional bases and fled.

Moreover, we have conducted months-long sieges and assaults on key positions, such as the strategic Maeta Base, and inflicted significant damage on reinforcements sent to aid the junta," the statement declared.
